As a Talent Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving value creation through human capital across a portfolio of 20+ businesses. Partnering closely with the Talent Director and investment teams, you will develop and execute leadership strategies to attract, develop, monitor, and inspire high-performing executive teams. This role bridges strategic talent insight with practical execution, ensuring leadership across portfolio companies is aligned with the value creation plan and long-term vision. You will contribute to the four pillars of our talent and culture strategy: Attract, Develop, Monitor, and Inspire.
Examples of responsibilities include:

1. Attract – Hire the best managers

  • Collaborate with the investment and operating team to define leadership needs during due diligence and post-close integration
  • Guide selection processes and build search capabilities using Mentha’s Playbook Search

    2. Develop – Enable leadership success
  • Development of the Playbook Leadership Development and Founder transition
  • Drive team effectiveness through structured diagnostics and setting up team coaching

    3. Monitor – Objectively review leadership performance
  • Design and implement dashboards and tools to track leadership performance and succession readiness across the portfolio
  • Offer data insights to guide discussions between investment, operating teams, and the board

    4. Inspire – Champion a people-first vision
  • Embed a leadership-first mindset into our DNA through storytelling, internal education, and best-practice sharing
  • Organize forums, content, and case studies that showcase the impact of great leadership

  • Experience & Background

  • 10–15 years of professional experience across a combination of the following areas:
    Management consultancy (e.g., Deloitte Organization Practice, Bain, BCG)
    Leadership and/or talent development roles
    Executive Search
    HR generalist and operational roles (including topics such as organizational design, job architecture, performance management, compensation & benefits, HR KPIs).
  • Leadership exposure:
    Proven experience working directly with senior leadership teams, preferably including founders
    Experience in or with mid-market businesses
  • Master’s degree and certified in at least one leadership assessment methodology (preferably Hogan)
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
