Mentha Capital sells Frimex to Value Enhancement Partners

Mentha Capital has sold Frimex, the market leader in the Dutch food retail installation and service market, to Value Enhancement Partners. Frimex designs, installs and services cooling, electrical and climate technology systems for large retailers and the hospitality sector. The company has built on decades of food retail expertise and has a long track record of innovation in the industry. As a key supplier to all major Dutch retailers, Frimex is well positioned to benefit from consumer trends driving food retailers to focus more on in-store experience and convenience. The company is headquartered in Moordrecht, the Netherlands and employs over 300 FTE.

Frimex has achieved strong growth in recent years. The company was acquired by Mentha Capital in 2014 in a carve-out from TBI and has further expanded its market share with a solid base for further growth.

Admar van Meer, CEO of Frimex, commented: “With Mentha Capital, Frimex has increased its focus on the core business which has significantly improved our financial performance. We are now well positioned for further growth and we look forward to continuing to serve our clients. We are excited to do so with the support of Value Enhancement Partners.”

Gijs Botman, Partner at Mentha Capital, said: “Frimex has done a tremendous job, and we look back on strong and fun years with the company. We are confident that Value Enhancement Partners is the right partner for Frimex in terms of supporting further development and growth.”

Sergio Campisi, Partner at Value Enhancement Partners, said: “We are very pleased to add Frimex to our portfolio. We are looking forward to working with Frimex, and are confident we can jointly reach our formulated growth ambitions.”
