Mentha Impact has entered into a partnership with Isovlas, a pioneering company that develops and sells bio-based insulation materials derived from flax. By joining forces, Isovlas and Mentha Impact intend to accelerate the company’s growth, while contributing to reducing the environmental footprint of the construction industry.
With over 25 years of experience, Isovlas has become a trusted leader in bio-based insulation in the Netherlands. Its flax-based insulation not only prevents heat loss but also stores carbon, making its production carbon-negative. In addition, the material is safe and pleasant to work with, while offering residents a good indoor climate. As the market shifts towards sustainable alternatives, the company is well-positioned to lead this transition and - together with Mentha - explore opportunities for international growth.
Isovlas founder and CEO, Rogier van Mensvoort, commented: "Partnering with Mentha Impact is a milestone in our development. Their strategic insight and experience will support our growth and help us expand our impact. We have strong confidence in this collaboration and believe it's the start of an important new phase for Isovlas."
Edo Pfennings, partner at Mentha Impact, added: "We are very excited about this partnership. Isovlas is a strong and forward-looking company in a market where growth and sustainability go hand in hand. Their carbon-negative insulation products contribute meaningfully to CO2 reduction in the built environment. Together with the team, we see great potential to further scale the business and drive lasting impact."
Isovlas marks the second investment of the Mentha Impact Fund.
