Introduction

SPC Group, founded in 2021, specializes in metal conservation: the application of coating systems on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. These coatings not only protect the metal and extend its lifespan but also provide properties such as fire retardancy. Serving both small and large clients on-site as well as in their own facilities, SPC provides a variety of coating types to customers such as ArcelorMittal, BASF, Alpro, and Coca-Cola. Over the past years, the group has experienced significant growth and has further professionalized into a company with nationwide coverage, while retaining essential differentiating factors such as proximity and flexibility.

Why SPC?

In a time where extending the lifespan of metal is becoming increasingly important, corrosion remains a continuous challenge. Coating specialists offer effective solutions to ensure that the growing base of metal installations in various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, and industrial environments, can be used for longer periods. These projects can range from extremely large to very small, where flexibility, proximity, but especially the correct compliance with QHSE standards, are crucial.

SPC distinguishes itself in this field by its unique position as a local player that simultaneously benefits from the professionalism and economies of scale of a larger group. This enables SPC to serve its customers optimally and flexibly in various (niche) areas regarding their metal conservation issues, with a focus on safety and compliance. Moreover, we highly appreciate SPC’s commitment to the well-being of its employees and its dedication to various sustainability initiatives.

Since its inception, SPC has followed an active buy-and-build strategy, constantly adding capabilities and expertise to the group. In 2024, SPC decided to seek a suitable partner to continue its success story. This partner was found in Mentha, which has experience in scaling enterprises as well as a track record in the conservation market through prior investments.

The joint ambition is now not only focused on further consolidation in Belgium but also actively looks beyond national borders, with the ultimate goal of becoming a leading player in Northern Europe.
